The Dr. Chao story

In the misty mountainous reaches of southwest China, Dr. Baoyin Chao spent years studying the native herbs of the region, and cataloging them in a handwritten manuscript that totaled hundreds of pages. He applied this knowledge to his treatment of patients, with gratifying results. The Chao family went on to establish a hospital, institute, clinic and herbal school at Guizhou, benefiting countless thousands.

Over a century later, the benefits of this painstaking research are finally available to the rest of the world. Ted Chao has taken the precious herbal recipes passed down from his great-great grandfather, and produced a line of delicious foods and beverages that are conveniently available in markets and online. Working with the National Food Laboratory, Ted created the herbal drinks which have become familiar to health-conscious consumers throughout the world. They're produced at an FDA-certified beverage company in Wisconsin, using authentic herbs imported from around the world. Since then, several unique food products have been added to the line, each one produced in the United States using Dr. Chao's ancient herbal formulations.

Ted Chao received his master's degree from Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in his home province of Guizhou. He came to America with a vision: to share the goodness of nature in a form that people would enjoy.
